Hibiscus Tea (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) has been used for centuries for its health promoting properties. Hibiscus has a tart-cranberry like flavor and may be sweetened to taste. It contains organic acids, including citric acid, maleic acid, tartaric acid as well as polysaccharides and flavonoids. Hibiscus has been used as a gentle detox for the liver, kidneys and gallbladder and may help maintain healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
Suggested Use: Steep one tea bag for several minutes once or twice daily, may be sweetened to taste and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Note: Pregnant or lactating women or persons taking medication should consult a healthcare practitioner before using an herbal beverage.
